Ralei's Project 2023 ✨️

"Ralei" means Mother.

Ralei's Project on July 1st at Nakorosule, Nagonenicolo, Naitasiri. Women of Nakorosule, vasus and married here come together to soli for Talatala's vehicle.

Wainimala River

Nau and mum decided to visit the Talatala's residence first thing as we arrived. Talatala Lasaro, son of the late Talatala Lasaro whose term as Qaselevu for the Methodist church in 1993 is the reason Poasa's middle name is Qaselevu. How my parents got together was through their blessing, prayers and full support of obedience.

The late Talatala Lasaro had alot of history in this village too. He opened the church here back in 1995.

Breakfast at the 'lomanibai' was precious as Talatala and Radini shared how the past month was their month of revival. Ended yesterday. Stories of their 9 year old laying hands to heal and pray and youths casting out demons. Jesus.

Talatala shared how he was looking through his late father's study and found a program of the last revival held Here in June 2003 by the late Rev Lasaro who had also pushed my late father to be present here. Program was prepared by my late grandfather. I actually Remember this because my mum was 8 months pregnant with Lily when Tata had to come for this. He was also on leave from work to be present at home... but God had other plans.

Program from June 2003

Outside the Talatala's residence

20 years later, today as we await the soli to commence, worship songs are on blast from the 'rara' setting the tone for the day and kids running around doing "actions" to the songs.

I'm a sucker for good God stories and I'm emotional listening as these songs play pondering on the faithfulness of God through the generations.

In between the soli, the children and youths performed items. The first for a vanua function. I looked around and saw wiping of silent tears all around as the children praised in dance and as we remember those who have gone on.

I came praying that this trip will be wholesome. And man did this do just that and more for my spirit. I didn't know what I was asking for. I did not expect THIS.

End of the day, the soli collected was $30k + exceeding the goal of $20k for a down payment of a vehicle for the Talatala. I'm in awe of the vision and grit to get this done and I leave with so much hope for the land I trod on and it's people, our people.

Generational God, true to Your word, what an honour to be a witness to Your faithfulness.
