Prophecy

        

I came across a couple of videos of (prophetic if I may) people talking about or what they "feel" is or "what is to come." 

I'll be real - I laughed through some of it. Good belly laughs saraga. Because it was crazy. 

But man. In the end I also laugh because I get it. I get that it's crazy. I get that it's scary. I get that its absurd. Absurd like, "there is no way THAT was from God." 

After the mockery (mine and the comments sections) I was wiping away tears I didnt know I needed and took notes (because that's what students do in this world of learning and unlearning. 😩) 

There are 12 books of prophets in the Bible and numerous others prophets mentioned all throughout the Bible. If that doesnt highlight the gift this side of ministry is, man. I get it tho. It's not "popular" or accepted because of the nature (or persons) of delivery. 

I'm just saying its shallow to disregard God things just because it's not your cup of tea. Just because prophecy isnt my thing, doesnt mean it's not from God. I think it highlights our insecurity and lack of knowledge but not the lack of God. 

In fact instead I think it shows the ABUNDANCE of God to have His church with five fold Ministry because the human race and mind is so diverse and we might not all be saved in the same way (or ministry). Some get saved through evangelism (🙋‍♀️), pastors, teachers, apostles AND prophetic. Now let's be clear, this is one of those things I plan to ask God, like prophecy?? Really? How?!! and whyyyyy. 😬 

Isnt it so human to settle with our comforts and just ignore the uncomfortable? (🙋‍♀️) Like let's just follow the way the things have been because we dont want to look like we're here to "harm our neighbour." And God forbid we sound too depressed or "emotional." So we analyze and conclude things according to what suits our pattern of thinking and not God's. Show me a people of God in the Bible that did not operate FROM emotions. Its created by God! Emotions make it personal. And maybe "personal" makes it matter. (Totally got that last line from a movie 😂) 

Anyway, all that, moved me to wonder, what if we get too busy throwing stones that we miss the point? Just like Jesus in the midst of Jews, not recognized, because they had their "ideas" of what their salvation should look like. 

I pray we dont miss it friends. In this world of abundance of viral videos and "ideas", I pray we dont miss Him. 2nd time around. 

The kindness of God in the five fold Ministry is that it validates the brokenness of humanity and our need for Jesus. Period. Vaccinated or not. Your salvation is in believing in Jesus. That is all.
