Obedience: Remember the Oil & Keep Pouring
1 more death from COVID in Viti. Makoi case - Feelin closer than I'm letting it be.
There are talks to legalize the national card ID for "easy reference" or whatever. All around the world they like to sound smart in introducing these things but we know it's been the plan from before we all ever existed. Its here! Things are about to change for good. Especially in terms of identification dot dot dot. IDENTITY.
I want to write about hope.
As all these start to creep in, fear as well seems to want to have room in here - in my mind, my heart, my interactions.
I asked God, so what we do Lord. What now?
I watched a sermon by Holly Furtick the other day, that was so fire! She spoke on the woman with the jar of oil. (Ref: 2 Kings 4) This jar wasn't even full. But she poured. She poured as instructed. She poured anyway. She poured until she had a cupboard full of jars of oil to sell and live off of. Holly said, you pour when you're tired; you pour when your neighbour gets pregnant by accident when you've been trying to get pregnant on purpose;..."
Pour when you feel like you have nothing left to give, or nothing significant to give.
Answer to what you do? You pour.
You serve...however serving looks like for us right now. One biggest one for me while working from home is serving family; being present, etc.
One of the words I was given at the beginning of this year was, REMEMBER THE OIL. I received this from a sermon by Bishop Jakes on the 5 wise women and the 5 foolish women. The 5 wise women took extra oil for the night.

(Ref: Matthew 25 & Luke 19)
[**Sidenote: I keep thinking we are so fortunate to be alive in these last days with these giants in the faith because God knows we need it.]
It will get real dark real fast out here. Do you have extra oil for the night?
Question: where do we get the oil?
Answer: Obedience. Rogoca ka Cakava
How?
Prayer & Word.
Remember the oil.
To me this means, remember all you've been taught. Remember the prayers said before you for you. Remember the stories of Gods faithfulness. Remember Gods people. Remember the goodness of God. Remember God.
Write them down. And then hang on to all that.
Everything that we SEE from here on, will scream for our attention, our belief system, our morals, our bodies, our minds, our hearts, our soul.
Choose God. The only one that sees all and knows all. I realize I'm not offering hope for things to change and go back to "normal". Rather I invite us to a hope that is present and real in an unstable world. Hope that our prayers and faith are not in vain and that He who calls us will see us through this.
Keep talking to Jesus. He is close beloved. The oil flows from Him. He is our hope.

That's right
