SUCH TIMES

Photo Credit: UNICEF  there are no words enough to fully describe the heart ache amongst Fijians today. recollecting and rebuilding since Cyclone Winston hit us a week ago has been nothing less than painful.   thousands left homeless and 42 lives lost right now and many more injured as a result of this devastating disaster.  its so easy to point fingers and say "i told you so" or "if onlys" but at the end of the day the devastation brought by the recent storm can only and should only be reciprocated with love.   there sure has been alot of ignorance and disobedience on the part of those who are aware of the God who lives but He does say that He never permits a disaster willingly. at the same time it may also be hard to trust His love in the midst of suffering but good always directly follow a fall.  in thinking about those deeply affected by Winston I was reminded that I serve and know one who is the light. and the l...

So I realize that my previous posts were ALOT about God loving us EXTRAVAGANTLY and sweetly He reminds of a truth that goes appropriately alongside this is that His love can never contradict His righteousness! Never. This means that yes if we fall, Grace would catch us BUT it doesn't change the fact that sin has consequences... not because He doesn't forgive us enough but because while He is love, He is also just and fair.  (Kinda like my parents. Ha) It's funny to me how I posted like 3-4 entries on Grace and goodness when the 2nd half of this whole year for me has been ALL ABOUT His righteousness/ Holiness. Grace is sweet and beautiful, yes. and so is Holiness. Because He is HOLY He cant let us stumble into falling over and over again although He will love us over and over again, but that doesn't mean He condones sin. He hates sin. with a passion.
